YOU DON’T TAKE A PHOTOGRAPH, YOU MAKE IT

Ever since Roger Fenton traveled to Crimea in 1855 to document the war, photography has played an important and ever present role in giving a voice to those who may be otherwise lost within the crowd.

As a medium, photography can do more than just portray the event. It is an integral part of the occasion and can individualise voices in a way other means cannot do.
